Hi Guys

I am looking at getting my EF Fairmont lowered but want to know if anyone knows any good places in Bunbury?

Any suggestions would be great :)

There's a Pedders store in Mandurah...?

Actually DIY isn't that hard if you can buy the parts and you have basic tools. I did mine myself and I'm not really mechanically skilled.

only way to know its done properly either do it yourself or have a close mate who you know 100% will do it properly so many so called workshops couldn't work on a car properly to save there lives hence why i do most of my own work and only use people i can trust

At stock height the rear sits a little high; after I fitted superlows all round the rear was still high but overall it was better. There was about an inch gap between the top of the front tyre and the front guard; more at the back.
After a while I wanted it lower (and more level) so I fitted ultralows in the front and I cut a coil off the rear superlows. Now I have a perfect height that's barely legal and sits exactly level. Some speed humps are a challenge but most are ok; I had to remove the splashguards from the front to avoid scraping the tyres and also rolled the guard lips slightly.

yeah I know that's why I am stuck on what to do! I had another EF before this one and I got rid of it cos it had all the same problems that I am having with this car so I got rid of a lemon after spending so much money on it and bought another lemon and having the same problems hahaha. grrrrr so frustrating!!!

Meh. Just fix properly, fix once and build a bridge. The only things I've had to replace more than once in 60,000km are headlight globes and filters. If I counted all the bits I've replaced at one time over the last three years, it would be about half of the car.

Everyone complains about their e-series like it's the only car ever to have parts shit themselves after 200,000km of faithful service. Actually most cars are like that. EF's are about 15 years old; naturally not every part on the car will last that long so you will be replacing things quite often. Just use it as a learning experience. You have a great car; just show the love and don't lose patience with it.

i have had more cars than i can count the ones that cost the less were old bombs buy them thrash them throw them away. The ones worth talking about the falcons have been the cheapest in the long run on maintenance. People rave on about toyotas yer there great til something breaks then you need a second mortgage to fix them. Bang for buck loved falcons esp the xf (not good on fuel but go hard with a few quick mods) and my cortinas if the wife would let me i would get another and put a ef motor in it
