Hey guys, havent been on for a while, have been playing round with a new toy... yes i have made the trade to the hated b-series... sorry guys but it was so worth it haha... still miss my old XG :(
so the story goes, a mate found the ute on carsales and thought i would want to check it out. went and had a look and loved it straight away, but turbo was buggered which was later discovered to be due to poor maintenance resulting in no oil being supplied to the turbo... siezed!! she was drivable, so made it back to perth from rockingham where the fun began.
was running TO4E turbo... alright, but i wanted to do it properly, ended up going with Garret GT3582R turbo, with a mild 6 pound of boost. Turbotech quoted me 6 grand minimum to do the work, so told them to jam it and i would do it myself. water and oil cooled this time instead of just oil, i had to change water lines, dump pipe and intercooler piping, but with the usual run in's it all went fairly smoothely.
From my knowledge it is a basic manual BA XL '03
- custom tonner tray
- Sun roof
- lowered about 4" all round
- 18's
- MB quartz up front, 6x9 fusions in the rear (both sets off an alpine amp), two S-type DVC subs off a j-car amp
- BF XR6T front bar and headlights
- XR8 bonnet
- Turbo GT3582R running 6psi, 4" dump pipe
Sorry for crapy phone pictures:

hey guys, thanks for the good responce, im pretyt happy with it. just got back last night from a 2 weeks swing at newman for work, still needs to be tuned for 6 pound of boost, but clutch is on its way out so needs to be done before dyno... haven't had anything to do with clutches before, so are they adjustable to any degree?? or any adjustment in the hydraulic side of things for the pedal???
tell ya what tho, driving it after 2 weeks of not driving at all is a great feeling :)

Will be fine in the wet if you drive sensibly... but thats just boring ha.
Looks quite nice, need shots of the rear for sure. And whats the go with the rear wheel guard things? Pic would be good to see the setup. Just looks strange in the pic, but its dark.
Clutch wouldn't be adjustable to my knowledge. You just need a decent unit by the sounds of things. What box has it got?
Anything on the cards in the near future? Or just enjoy?

factory 5 speed manual, supposedly has some exteme strip and street clutch or some crap, so will drive for a bit more see how much more i can get out of it. nothing really planed for it, still has open centre diff so looking at either a lokka or lsd, but other than that nothing really for a while, not sure how much the standard motors can handle power wise so not too keen on pushing it too hard boost wise.
